Hobbies
Some of the things Blair likes to do in his spare time... Making the Perfect Martini (for two)
Fill a shaker full of ice cubes, then sprinkle half a shot of dry vermouth
over the top. Pop the lid on and roll the vermouth around the shaker so
it adheres to the ice. If you do it right, when you take the lid off
and tip the remainder out, there should only be a few drops come out.
Then you measure in four shots of good quality gin. Ideally Tanqueray Number Ten although ordinary Tanqueray, Bombay Sapphire or even South will suffice. Never, ever use Gordons! Peel some skin off a lemon with a knife until you have enough for two nice curls. Then take the knife and give what's in the shaker a good stir with it. No shaking. Take two frozen martini glasses, pour the contents of the shaker into the glasses, then curl up the lemon peels until they start to "bleed" oil and drop them in. Best drunk accompanied by Frank Sinatra, or if you're feeling a bit bohemian, Scott Walker. Making the perfect Texas Salsa
You will need:
One Can of Tomatoes Two Vine Tomatoes Two Capsicums/Bell Peppers, any colour One Onion Three Cloves of Garlic, chopped One and a Half Teaspoons of Salt Quarter of a Cup of Malt Vinegar One handful of Coriander/Cilantro Several Slices of Jalapeno to taste Puree the can of tomatoes, the jalapeno slices, the garlic, one of the capsicums, half the onion and half the coriander in a blender with the salt and vinegar. Finely dice the two vine tomatoes along with the remaining capsicum, onion and coriander, and stir into the puree. Refrigerate overnight to mature the salsa. Serve with unflavoured corn chips, or anything else you feel needs a bit of a kick. Songwriting
